Bruce Carpenter

Bruce W. Carpenter is a New York City-born art historian and author specializing in Indonesian art, culture, and history, with over 20 books and numerous articles to his name, including Ethnic Art of Indonesia (2010) and Lempad of Bali, the Illuminating Line (2014).[1][2][3] After a nomadic lifestyle and regular visits to Bali in the 1970s, he settled in Ubud in 1985, organizing cultural tours earlier with Dr. Stanley Krippner and gaining acclaim with works like Willem G. Hofker, Painter of Bali (1993).[3][4]
