Brian P Cleary

Brian P. Cleary is an American author, humorist, poet, and children's book writer best known for his 'Words Are CATegorical' series, which uses rhyming verse and cartoon cats to teach grammar concepts and has sold over 3 million copies. Born in Lakewood, Ohio, as the third of nine children, he earned a B.A. from John Carroll University in 1982 and worked as a senior editor for American Greetings. He lives in Cleveland, Ohio, and believes humor effectively teaches children vocabulary and concepts.
