Brian M. Barry
Brian M. Barry (1936–2009), also known as Brian Michael Barry, was a leading British moral and political philosopher who fused analytic philosophy with political science and social choice theory. He held prestigious academic positions at Oxford, Essex, and Columbia University, where he served as the Lieber Professor of Political Philosophy. Barry published seven single-authored books and over seventy articles, earning recognition as one of the most influential normative political theorists of the postwar era.
