Brian James Baer

Brian James Baer is Professor of Russian and Translation Studies at Kent State University, USA, where he also serves as Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Modern and Classical Languages and a member of the Institute for Applied Linguistics.[1][2][3] He is the founding editor of the journal *Translation and Interpreting Studies* and co-editor of the Bloomsbury book series *Literatures, Cultures, Translation* and the Routledge book series *Translation Studies in Translation*.[2][5] Baer publishes widely on translation history, translation pedagogy, and translation theory, and holds a Leading Research Fellow position at National Research University Higher School of Economics in Moscow.[4]
