Brett Cogburn

Brett Cogburn is an award-winning Western author and the great-grandson of John Franklin 'Rooster' Cogburn, the real-life inspiration for the character in True Grit. He was reared in Texas and the mountains of Southeastern Oklahoma, where he spent many years making his living as a cowboy from the back of a horse. Cogburn has written books including 'Rooster: The Life and Times of the Real Rooster Cogburn.'
