Brendan Powell Smith

Elbe Spurling (born Brendan Powell Smith on September 7, 1973) is an American transgender artist and author renowned for The Brick Bible series, an epic project illustrating the entire Bible using LEGO bricks, which began as a website in the early 2000s and has resulted in 19 books published in 10 languages.[2][5] Growing up in Norwood, Massachusetts, she received her first LEGO set at age three and later created works like Assassination! The Brick Chronicle of Attempts on the Lives of Twelve US Presidents.[1][2]
