Brenda D. Phillips

Brenda D. Phillips, Ph.D. is a distinguished academic and leading expert in disaster management and emergency response. She holds a Ph.D. and master's degree in Sociology from Ohio State University and a bachelor's degree in Sociology and History. Phillips has served as a Professor in Fire and Emergency Management programs, Senior Researcher with the Center for the Study of Disasters and Extreme Events, and Dean of CLAS at IU South Bend, while also editing major academic book series for Palgrave Macmillan.
