Bobby Lynn Maslen
Bobby Lynn Maslen was a preschool teacher at Catlin Gabel School in Portland, Oregon, from 1968 to 1980, where she created the Bob Books series with her husband John R. Maslen to teach early reading skills using phonics.[1][2][3] First published in 1976, the books became a highly successful tool for generations of young readers worldwide.[1][2] She passed away at age 87 after suffering from Alzheimer's disease.[5]
