Bobbi Katz

Bobbi Katz (1933-2022) was an American author renowned for her poetry collections and picture books for children, including titles like Once Around the Sun, Trailblazers: Poems of Exploration, and A Rumpus of Rhymes. Born in Newburgh, New York, she worked as a freelance writer, fashion editor, social worker, and radio host before focusing on children's literature, which often used rhyme to educate and entertain young readers about history, nature, and exploration. Katz led poetry workshops and contributed to anthologies until her death in 2022.
