Bob Moore

Bob Moore (1941-2025) was a British historian and Emeritus Professor of European History at the University of Sheffield. Educated at Royal Belfast Academical Institution and Merton College, Oxford, he joined the University of Sheffield in 1964, later becoming Professor of Medieval History at Newcastle University until his retirement in 2003. He authored numerous books and articles on the Holocaust in the Netherlands, prisoners of war, resistance in Nazi-occupied Europe, and comparative studies in colonialism.
