Bob Hoskins was an English actor known for his intense portrayals of tough guy characters in films like The Long Good Friday (1980), Mona Lisa (1986), and Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988). He began his career on stage and television, earning acclaim with a BAFTA nomination for Pennies from Heaven (1978), and received a Best Actor Academy Award nomination for Mona Lisa, along with BAFTA, Golden Globe, and Cannes awards. Hoskins retired in 2012 due to Parkinson's disease and passed away in 2014.
