Bob Deweese

Robert (Bob) DeWeese (1920-1990) was a pioneering modernist painter, printmaker, and art professor based in Bozeman, Montana, who significantly influenced the state's art scene alongside his wife Gennie. He taught at Montana State University from 1949 to 1977 and produced notable works including sketches, murals, and WWII-related sketchbooks. DeWeese illustrated books such as *Hamlet's Planets* and held exhibitions like his retrospective at the Bob and Gennie DeWeese Gallery.
