Bob Ciaffone

Bob 'The Coach' Ciaffone (1940-2022) was an American poker player, author, and rules authority best known for authoring *Robert's Rules of Poker* and other strategy books like *Pot-Limit and No-Limit Poker* and *Omaha Poker: The Action*. A longtime columnist for *Card Player Magazine*, he achieved notable success including third place in a 1987 World Series of Poker event and 31 recorded cashes totaling over $347,000. Based in Saginaw, Michigan, he also founded Fair Laws on Poker to advocate for improved gambling laws.
