Bliss Perry

Bliss Perry was an American literary critic, writer, editor, and educator best known for his work on American literature and his long teaching career at Williams, Princeton, and Harvard. He also served as editor of *The Atlantic Monthly* and wrote widely on authors such as Emerson, Whitman, and Whittier.
