Birna Arnbjornsdóttir

Birna Arnbjornsdóttir is a professor emerita of Second Language Studies at the University of Iceland, where she has served as dean of the Faculty of Languages and Cultures and director of the Vigdís Finnbogadóttir Institute of Foreign Languages. She is a pioneering researcher in computer-assisted language learning (CALL) in Iceland, with expertise in linguistics, bilingualism, and second language pedagogy. Her work spans Icelandic in North America, English as a lingua franca, and academic English.
