Bill Knox

Bill Knox was a Scottish author, journalist, and broadcaster, best known for his crime and detective novels featuring characters like Detective Superintendent Colin Thane and marine claims investigator Andrew Laird. Born in Glasgow in 1928, he began his career as Scotland's youngest reporter at age sixteen, covering crime stories, and went on to write over sixty novels, often under pseudonyms such as Robert MacLeod and Noah Webster. He passed away in Glasgow in 1999, leaving a legacy of authentic police procedurals set in Scotland.
