Betty DeGeneres

Betty Jane DeGeneres (née Pfeffer) is an American LGBT rights activist and former actress, best known as the mother of Ellen DeGeneres. She was an early straight spokeswoman for the Human Rights Campaign's National Coming Out Project and has been active with PFLAG; she also wrote memoirs including "Just a Mom" and "Love, Ellen".
