Bernard Farrell
Bernard Farrell is an Irish dramatist born in 1941, known for his contemporary comedies described as 'well-wrought, cleverly shaped with a keen sense of absurdity' and 'dark and dangerous comedy.' He worked as a clerk for Sealink until 1980, when he resigned to write full-time for the theatre, and has since written over twenty stage plays primarily for the Abbey Theatre, where he has served as writer-in-association, advisory council member, and board director.
