Benjamin S. Riggan
Dr. Benjamin S. Riggan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he joined in 2019 after earning his B.S. in computer engineering (2009), M.S. (2011), and Ph.D. (2014) in electrical engineering from North Carolina State University. His research focuses on computer vision, artificial intelligence, and image processing, with applications in nighttime facial recognition, imaging through atmospheric turbulence, aerial perception, automatic target recognition, and defense and law enforcement technologies. He serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems and has published extensively, earning multiple best paper awards.
