Ben Okri
Sir Ben Okri is a Nigerian-born British poet, novelist, and essayist born in 1959. He is considered one of the foremost African authors in postmodern and post-colonial traditions, best known for his 1991 Booker Prize-winning novel The Famished Road. He was knighted in 2023 for his services to literature and currently lives and works in London.
