Ben Jonson
Ben Jonson was an English playwright, poet, and actor, best known for his satirical comedies such as 'Volpone' and 'The Alchemist'. A contemporary of Shakespeare, he was a master of the masque and served as the first Poet Laureate of England. His works are noted for their sharp wit and classical learning.
