Beate Geissler

Beate Geissler is a German interdisciplinary artist and educator born in 1970 in Neuendettelsau, Germany. She is an associate professor of art at the University of Illinois at Chicago and has collaborated with photographer Oliver Sann since 1996. Her work explores how human actions transform the planet and examines the relationships between knowledge, power, technology, and human transformation.
