Bas Aarts

Bas Aarts is Professor of English Linguistics at University College London and Director of the Survey of English Usage. His research focuses on English syntax, especially verbal syntax and gradience in grammar, and he has co-authored and co-edited works including *How to Teach Grammar* and *The Oxford Handbook of English Grammar*.
