Barrie W. Jones

Barrie W. Jones (1941–2014) was a British astronomer and author specializing in planetary science and astrobiology. He earned a degree in physics and a PhD in experimental solid-state physics at the University of Bristol, conducted research at Cornell University on far-infrared detectors, and later focused on exobiology and gamma-ray astronomy. He authored the book 'Discovering the Solar System' and was a professor known for his contributions to solar system studies.
