Barnett Abraham Elzas
Barnett Abraham Elzas (1867–1936) was a German-born American Reform rabbi and historian who served congregations in Toronto, Sacramento, and notably Beth Elohim in Charleston, South Carolina. Educated at Jews' College and University College in London, he authored key works including 'The Jews of South Carolina: From Earliest Times to the Present Day' (1905) and histories of Congregation Beth Elohim. Later, he became rabbi of Beth Miriam Congregation in Long Branch, New Jersey, in 1912.
