The Bard Graduate Center is a graduate research institute and gallery in New York City dedicated to the study of decorative arts, design history, and material culture. Founded in 1993 by Dr. Susan Weber, it is affiliated with Bard College and advances object-centered teaching, research, exhibitions, publications, and events. It operates campuses at 18 West 86th Street (gallery) and 38 West 86th Street (academic building).
