Barbara Drake

Barbara Drake is an Oregon poet, essayist, and educator known for her literature of place centered on Coos Bay and rural Yamhill Valley. She earned an MFA from the University of Oregon, taught at Michigan State University and Linfield College from 1983 to 2007, and authored books including Driving One Hundred, Peace at Heart, and the textbook Writing Poetry.[1][4][5]
