Ayana Elizabeth Johnson

Dr. Ayana Elizabeth Johnson is a marine biologist, policy expert, writer, and conservation strategist known for her work on ocean-climate policy and social justice in conservation. She is the co-founder of Urban Ocean Lab, a think tank for coastal cities, author of the New York Times bestseller What If We Get It Right?: Visions of Climate Futures, and co-editor of All We Can Save. A Brooklyn native, she holds a BA from Harvard University and a PhD from Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
