Audrey Wood
Audrey Wood is an acclaimed American children's author and illustrator known for popular picture books such as The Napping House, Piggies, and Heckedy Peg, with The Napping House selling over 2.1 million copies worldwide as of 2015. Born into an artistic family, she spent her early childhood in Sarasota, Florida, near the Ringling Brothers' Circus, and later studied art and drama at the Arkansas Art Center. She collaborates frequently with her husband Don Wood and son Bruce, and has lived in places including Santa Barbara, California, and Hawaii.
