Audrey Whiting

Audrey Whiting-Nener was a pioneering woman journalist born in Hull on May 30, 1927, who significantly boosted the circulation of the Sunday Pictorial (later Sunday Mirror) to six million through sensational scoops and served as the first female Buckingham Palace correspondent.[1] She married Jack Nener, editor of the Daily Mirror, in 1954, and they had no children.[1] Whiting authored books such as 'Family Royal' and 'Gal Audrey: A Norfolk Childhood,' offering intimate views on the British Royals and personal memoirs.[5][3][6]
