Audre Lorde

Audre Lorde (1934–1992) was an American poet, essayist, and activist known for writing about racism, sexism, homophobia, and class oppression. Born in New York City to Caribbean immigrant parents, she became a major voice in Black feminist and LGBTQ+ thought and co-founded Kitchen Table: Women of Color Press.
