Aubrey Buxton
Major Aubrey Leland Oakes Buxton, Baron Buxton of Alsa (1918–2009) was a British soldier, politician, television executive, and writer.[1][4] Born in Oxford to Leland William Wilberforce Buxton and Ada Mary Oakes, he was educated at Ampleforth College and Trinity College, Cambridge, served in the Royal Artillery during World War II earning the Military Cross, and later wrote books including a biography of King George VI as a sportsman.[1][2][4]
