Assia Djebar

Assia Djebar was an Algerian novelist, translator, and filmmaker, renowned for her works exploring women's experiences and Algerian history. She was the first North African woman to be elected to the Académie française. Her notable works include 'Women of Algiers in Their Apartment' and 'Fantasia: An Algerian Cavalcade'.
