Ashok Das

Ashok Kumar Das was an Indian politician born into a Zamindar family, who rose to prominence as a student leader during the 1964 statewide agitation in Odisha. He joined the Bihar Movement in 1974 led by Jayaprakash Narayan, was imprisoned under MISA, and served as a member of the Odisha Legislative Assembly from Korei in 1974, 1977, 1990, 1995, and 2000, also acting as Leader of Opposition from 1996 to 1997.
