Asa Mahan
Asa Mahan (1799-1889) was an American Presbyterian minister, philosopher, theologian, and college president who championed abolitionism, Christian perfectionism, and co-education. He served as the first president of Oberlin Collegiate Institute (1835-1850), worked closely with Charles Finney, and later led Adrian College (1861-1871) before moving to England in 1874 to continue his prolific writing on holiness and theology.
