Arthur Hugh Clough

Arthur Hugh Clough was an English poet and educator, known for his intellectual and often melancholic verse that explored themes of faith, doubt, and social reform. He was a fellow at Oriel College, Oxford, and later served as a principal of University Hall in London. His most famous works include the long narrative poem 'Amours de Voyage' and the shorter lyric 'Say Not the Struggle Naught Availeth'.
