Arthur [editor] Marwick
Arthur John Brereton Marwick (1936-2006) was a prominent British social historian specializing in twentieth-century Britain, war, and social change. Born in Edinburgh, he graduated from the University of Edinburgh and Balliol College, Oxford, lectured at Edinburgh, and became the first Professor of History at the Open University in 1969, retiring in 2001.[1][2][3]
