Art Spiegelman
Art Spiegelman is an American cartoonist, editor, and author best known for Maus, his Pulitzer Prize-winning graphic novel about his parents’ survival of the Holocaust. Born in Stockholm in 1948 and raised in New York City, he helped expand comics into a serious literary form through work in underground comix and as co-founder of RAW magazine.
