Arnold Bennett

Enoch Arnold Bennett (1867-1931) was a prolific English novelist, playwright, and critic best known for his detailed novels of the Five Towns (the Potteries region of Staffordshire). Between the 1890s and 1930s, he completed 34 novels, seven volumes of short stories, 13 plays, and a daily journal totaling over a million words, establishing himself as an important link between English literature and European realism.
