Armando Navarro

Armando Navarro (1941-2026) was a political science scholar, organizer, and activist born to Mexican parents in Artesia, California. He dedicated his life's work to defending the rights of Latinos and immigrants, and was one of the early founders of the La Raza Unida Party. He published seven books and completed an eighth prior to his passing, providing analysis on the Chicano Movement, global capitalism, and Mexican and Latino politics.
