Aristophanes
Aristophanes was a renowned ancient Greek playwright, celebrated as the greatest master of Old Comedy and the sole exemplar of this genre with surviving complete works. Born in Athens around 450 BCE, he wrote approximately 40 plays, of which 11 survive, including famous titles like 'The Clouds,' 'Lysistrata,' and 'The Frogs,' characterized by sharp political satire and bawdy humor.
