Aphra and Germaine Greer: Behn
Aphra Behn was an English playwright, poet, prose writer, and translator of the Restoration era, and is widely recognized as the first English woman known to earn her living by writing. Her works, including "Oroonoko" and popular stage comedies, helped shape Restoration literature and made her an important literary figure for later women writers.
