Antonio Vivaldi

Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741) was an Italian Baroque composer and virtuoso violinist born in Venice who left a decisive mark on the concerto form and late Baroque instrumental music. Known as the "Red Priest" due to his red hair, he served as master of violin at the Ospedale della Pietà and composed over 400 concertos, with his most famous work being "The Four Seasons." Despite his widespread influence across Europe during his lifetime, he died in poverty in Vienna in 1741.
