Antoine de Saint-Exupéry was a French aviator and writer born into an aristocratic family who became a pioneer of international airmail service. His literary works, inspired by his aviation experiences, explored themes of adventure, danger, and the human spirit, culminating in his masterpiece The Little Prince, published in 1943. He died in 1944 during a reconnaissance mission in World War II.
