Anthony Masters

Anthony Richard Masters was a British author born in 1940 in Esher, Surrey, England, renowned for his adult novels, short stories, biographies, and especially fiction for young people. He began his career as a journalist and book salesman before becoming a full-time writer in 1964, winning the John Llewellyn Rhys Memorial Prize in 1967 for his novel *The Seahorse*. He was also an educator and humanitarian, helping the socially excluded until his death in Hastings, East Sussex, on April 4, 2003.[3][4][5]
