Anthony Julian Huxley

Anthony Julian Huxley (1920-1992) was a British horticulturist, botanist, writer, and photographer, best known for his work as editor of Amateur Gardening (1967-1971) and general editor of the Royal Horticultural Society's Dictionary of Gardening (1988-1992). Son of Sir Julian Huxley, he authored nearly 40 books on plants, including Flowers in Greece (1964), Mountain Flowers (1967), and Plant and Planet (1978), and served as Vice-President of the Royal Horticultural Society in 1991. His career included post-war work in RAF operational research and a long association with gardening publications.
