Anthony J Huxley
Anthony Julian Huxley (1920–1992) was a British botanist, horticulturist, writer, and photographer, son of Sir Julian Huxley, who spent his childhood at London Zoo and was educated at Dauntsey's School and Trinity College, Cambridge.[1][2] After post-war work with the RAF, Ministry of Aircraft, and BOAC, he joined Amateur Gardening in 1949, editing it from 1967 to 1971, and later served as vice president of the Royal Horticultural Society in 1991 while editing its Dictionary of Gardening from 1988 to 1992.[1][2] He authored or compiled nearly 40 books, including the acclaimed Plant and Planet in 1978.[2]
