Annie Barrows
Annie Barrows (born 1962) is an American author and former editor best known for the bestselling children's series Ivy and Bean, as well as co-authoring the adult novel The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society with her aunt Mary Ann Shaffer.[1][2] She studied medieval history at UC Berkeley, earned an MFA in Creative Writing from Mills College, and worked as an editor at Chronicle Books before becoming a full-time writer in 1996.[2][3] Barrows has written numerous books for children and adults and lives in Northern California.[2][6]
