Annette Karmiloff-Smith
Annette Karmiloff-Smith (1938–2016) was a British developmental psychologist renowned for her work on cognitive development and developmental disorders, particularly Williams syndrome. She developed the neuroconstructivist approach, challenging modular views of the brain through influential books like *Beyond Modularity* (1992) and *Rethinking Innateness* (1996). She held key positions at the Institute of Child Health, UCL, and Birkbeck, University of London.
