Anne Helen Petersen is an American writer and journalist known for her work on culture, celebrity, and millennial burnout. She served as a senior culture writer for BuzzFeed until 2020, then launched her full-time Substack newsletter Culture Study, and authored books including *Can't Even: How Millennials Became the Burnout Generation*, *Too Fat, Too Slutty, Too Loud*, and *Scandals of Classic Hollywood*. She holds a PhD in media studies from the University of Texas at Austin, grew up in North Idaho, and currently lives in Montana.
